This is a good question we have heard quite often.

WHY USING BOOTS? 1 - First of all, to protect the hoof when your horse needs to be barefooted. 2 - When your horse needs protection due a laminitis or another vet prescription, to assure it be walking and eating.

WHEN YOUR HORSE SHOULD USE BOOTS?

The boots are useful on such situations as: 1 - During your trails or week-end pleasure riding your horse. 2 - During the horse transportation by truck, by plane or ship. 3 - Vet prescription as laminitis and other hoof lameness. 4 - Endurance contest as an emergency tool. 5 - Training and other medium velocity movements (10 - 15 km/h) of the barefooted horse. 6 - Transition period from shod to unshod or barefooted, mainly in wet and cold weather. 7 - To allow the horse go into a surgical room in a vet clinic or hospital.

HOW TO FIX TOLEDO BOOTS?

The Toledo Horse boots are fixed by leather belts with buckle. The leather belts are protected with soft cushion in front and back to avoid hurts. We do not recommend the boots to hard gallop or some other competitions as racing and jumping, for example.

HOW CAN YOU CHOOSE THE SIZE?

Available sizes (wide in inches or Metric) in pair (2 pieces): 1 - # 4 inches (4 - 4 3/8pol) or 10/11 cm of hoof width. 2 - #5 inches (4 3/8 - 4 3/4pol) or 11/12 cm of hoof width. 3 - #6 inches (5 /18 - 5 1/2pol) or 12/13 cm of hoof width.
